Disney World is a magical place that families love to visit but it can be a bit overwhelming if you’re not prepared. Harness technology to enhance your visit by installing at least one of these Disney apps on your iphone or Android phone. There are quite a few Disney World apps available and each one is unique in its own way. These apps can take a good visit and turn it into a magnificent visit where families accomplish everything on their wish list and more.

Here are 10 of the best apps that families can use in Disney World:

The My Disney Experience app allows people to explore Disney World via an interactive map that is complete with GPS. When visitors use this app, they will know where the characters will be and when as well as how long the wait times are for every ride inside the park. Itineraries can be prepared and shared with friends and family and dining reservations can be made at any time. Before families arrive at the park, they can purchase tickets, manage their reservations, and their FastPass with this app.

This allows visitors the ability to choose a restaurant according to what they like to eat. If time is of the essence, because everyone is hungry, the app will also let a person know which restaurant is closest to where they are. Reservations for any restaurant can also be made through the reservation number with a touch of a button.

#2 app, “Walt Disney World Maps Box Set”, apparently has not been updated since around 2011. Essentially useless.

I don’t see some of these Disney apps worthy, some are not efficient and others not updated often. However, exploring the Disney land with ‘My Disney Experience’ gives a outstanding experience. I love the fact that its map is interactive and powered by GPS.

I can imagine these would make your experience at Disney much more efficient. There is so much to do that keeping organized is absolutely essential and the GPS feature is incredibly helpful to guests. I like the idea of an app specifically for finding the nearest place to find food, though! The estimate of ride wait times is a great feature, as well. The guide for hunting all of the hidden Mickeys sounds cute, as well. I didn’t know there were so many secrets at Disney World and will definitely…

My Disney Experience app seems to include all of the essential features. No wonder it’s #1 on the list. So I think it would make the most sense to use just that one app. But of course, I’ll have to check out the other apps as well and see if some of them have a more friendly user interface and are easier to handle. In any case, thank you for the great article. Lot’s of useful information. I just wonder how do they track the location of the characters in the first app? It’s the first time I’ve…

Wish I had access to some of these apps the last time I was at Disney – unfortunately I didn’t even have a smart phone back then, so no hope for me. I especially think the My Disney Experience would be a good app – it has all the essential info.

Visiting the Disney world has been one thing I’ve been longing to do. With so many good apps available to make the tour a memorable one, I’d like to settle for the WDW Countdown. With its reminder feature, I wouldn’t be updated any less.

I had no idea there was such a thing as Disney World apps. I’ve never been to Disney but I can see how these could come in handy. I think it could be very confusing for a first-timer like me. I think that the best thing about having an app and a clear path is that it makes it easier to actually see everything and go to every ride and not miss too much of the really awesome stuff. I’ve checked them out and from what I can see “My Disney Experience” seems like the perfect app, with many…
