Durhamstown Castle’s Barn

Have you ever stayed in a barn? Have you ever paid £2332 per night to do it? While that might sound ridiculous at a first glance, the good news is that this barn isn’t filled with horses and hay. Instead, it has been entirely refurbished to accommodate weddings, parties, and other large gatherings. There are places for people to sleep on the property, as well—perfect for hosting the bridesmaids and groomsmen! If you are hoping to have a delightful get-together in County Meath, Ireland or looking for a romantic destination wedding venue, this is a fantastic find.

Blackwater Castle

This is your most spectacular opportunity to stay in a real European castle! This stately home was built hundreds of years ago, and it even has a 15th Century tower. Although this place costs a breathtaking €2500 per day, it does accommodate up to 25 people. If you can find enough friends, it would only be $100 each per night!  Although this is one of the most expensive Airbnb rentals in Ireland, I think you’ll agree that it is entirely worth the cost.

Sunnybank House

If you like Downton Abbey, you will love this house! Sunnybank House is a dignified old estate that dates back to the 19th Century. It is located in beautiful Connemara, close to the town square but picturesquely isolated by expansive private grounds. Thirteen bedrooms will allow you to accommodate a large group of over 16 people, and fun activities like tennis and the pool will keep everyone busy. For a delightful Irish getaway, this is ideal! Split the £5876 nightly cost, and it can even be affordable. Of course, if you want the whole house to yourself, that is always an option, as well!

Modern Ensuite Bedroom on Canal Dock

For £7,462 per night, you can stay in this upscale suite in one of Dublin’s most famous locations! Real estate must be expensive in Dublin—from my vantage point, I can’t really see anything so special about this place that makes it worth playing several grand for one day’s stay. If expensive accommodations are your thing, though, you’ll probably like this very much! It’s in a great location, and it is a very classy place to stay. Plus, you do get a pretty fantastic view of the harbor and city. Still, I have to wonder what makes this incredible enough to be the most expensive Airbnb rental in Ireland.

While it seems like some of the owners are trying to make a quick fortune on mediocre real estate, others have truly magnificent properties to share with the world. If you’re looking for an incredible place to vacation or a once in a lifetime splurge, why not try one of these out? You’d certainly never forget the experience!

What a coincidence! My dad actually called for a reunion in this same property last year. Though it may sound over-priced, I must tell you, it’s worth every single £ it costs. It’s such an amazing property to rent.

Some of the photos don’t really do the properties just – either that or it is just super expensive to rent places in Ireland. I’m actually planning on going to Ireland next month for a couple of days, so I really hope that it’s not too expensive, otherwise I’m in trouble.
