Drinking Your Way Around Walt Disney World

Disney may be what childhood dreams are made of, but Disney World is just as fun for adults as it is for kids. In fact, you might have even more fun when you visit the wonderful world of Disney as a grown-up! Why? Because drinking your way through the Disney attractions is a ton of fun. If you love the Mouse and you love beer, you’ll be sure to have an amazing time drinking Disney! From elaborate food festivals to budget-friendly bar crawls, here are the best ways to drink at Disney World.

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

This is a fantastic event for the foodies in the audience! Whether you go for the drinks or the eats, you definitely won’t be disappointed. Each year, dozens of food booths are set up around the World Showcase Lagoon in Epcot.

If you participate in this event, you’ll get a passport with a list of the many booths by country. Visit and get your passport “stamped” by the vendors! You’ll have the chance to try a wide variety of dishes and drinks, and you can even meet a few celebrity chefs.

As you work your way through the various “countries,” you’ll get to taste the alcoholic beverages that hail from each region. Try a spicy apple margarita in Mexico, or sip a Moroccan sangria. If you’re brave, try the very weird swine brine concoction. Don’t forget a pineapple DOLE whip ice cream with rum! And of course, you can’t miss the very popular Hops and Barley booth.

Drinking Downtown Disney

You don’t even have to go inside a Disney park to drink at Disney! Downtown Disney is a great place to go drinking before and after your Disney theme park adventures. There are several great drinking spots downtown!

Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant is a classic Irish pub. Of course, it has a Disney-esque touch of kitsch that makes it extra fun and colorful! This is a fun place to grab a drink with friends while enjoying live Irish music and good pub food. Try some an Irish whiskey cocktail or stick with good, old-fashioned Guinness.

If you want some Latin vibes, you can opt for Bongos Cuban Café. This place feels like you’ve been transported to a Havana night club. Grab some delicious Cuban grub and relax with a great cocktail or a glass of wine. If you come on a Friday or Saturday, you can dance the night away to live Latin music.

If you love that Latin American feel, you’ll enjoy an evening at Paradiso 37. Here, you’ll get options from North, Central and South America. The favorite drink at Paradiso 37 is tequila. However, you can find an extensive international wine list at this bar, so be sure to take the time to size up your options!

For a casual drink, it’s great to chill out at House of Blues. This bar has a Mississippi vibe and a great happy hour. Down champagne, wine, beer, or just about any drink you can dream up.

Although there’s nothing very extraordinary about Portobello in Downtown Disney, it’s a nice place to go for a relaxing dinner and drink. This is a good stop if you want a nice atmosphere without all the hoopla.

Permit me to say that Disney World is even more a fun spot for adults than kids, owing to the varieties of drinks available. For the wine enthusiasts, Downtown Disney appears to be a favorite spot.

Disney World really has something to offer to everyone. I consider myself to be a foodie and I think it’s a very cool concept of a festival where you can try different foods and drinks from all around the world. You’re discovering new countries through their cuisine. It’s like traveling without having to actually cross the border. The International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot is definitely something worth attending.

THANK YOU! I’m trying to sell this to my fiance, I’ve always wanted to see Disney World but he thinks we’ll get bored there. I don’t know if he would love the rides and themed parks but sure as hell he’ll love to sample their drinks haha!
